Well...... What can I say......

Anyway, I can still access the shared folders, and the backup appears to be running as well...  Just can't access the console anymore...

I will attempt to document the process I will be going through to get this fixed.  If anyone has any idea on what I could try, please feel free to add to the thread :)

Awesome way to start the weekend 8)

Step 1: I have an urge to run outside and get a external USB drive to back up those shared folders while I still have access to them... Anyone has any recommendation on a good external USB drive?

Just search for WHS Console Reset...

Thanks Mauricio!

Indeed, after reset WHS console, I was able to get in there again.  For anyone who may be interested, it looks like this: http://bit.ly/9sV1Aw

This is a strange issue (for me) - I don't use any add-on, or run any services, or fiddle with it.  Note to self, must find out the root cause......

It appears to be working fine again.

I've found some NullReferenceException in the event log correspond roughly to the same time when I had difficulty using the console.

Does anyone has recommendation on good strategy for a backup for the backup? :)
