Hi, i have a acer aspire one mini net book and i installed windows 7 ultimate over XP and it works great, but the programs i need to use aren't compatible with windows 7, i want to restore it back to factory windows XP with the D2D recovery (e recovery) but the f10/alt f10 doesn't work. How can i fix this?

What programs are not working? Do you have the latest versions of these programs?

well they are programs that arent well known..   Its a USB-AV capture device which the program that comes with it is the latest, but when i click record to record the AV video, it freezes and says "MultiViewer has stopped responding. Close Program?

And i need that program to work, and im happy to restore to XP, but the acer erecovery program doesnt load when i hit alt f10/f10 in the boot process. it just ignores the keys and boots into WIN7

How many partitions are on the laptop now? Did you install windows 7 over both the XP and acer recovery partitions?

i had this trouble also when upgrading to windows 7.
after searching online for all the latest versions of my programs and downloading drivers from the manufacturers website, i got it all going.

After hours trying to fix it, i got it going and then somehow stuffed it up, so i just said stuff it, and i wiped the whole HDD including hidden partition, and re-installed win7. I got the program i wanted to work to work, so its not a problem anymore. Thanks for your help guys
