Hi
I will try to explain what I want to do, sorry if I get it wrong.
I have a new desktop and I am wanting to sell my old one. Old one has Vista installed on it but it came pre installed so no installation disk but I did do the recovery disk thing as it told me too. PROBLEM: I do not know how to use it, it is not like XP I want to get rid of ALL my data on there before I sell and just have what I had when I bought it. Does this make sense? Can anyone give me step by step on how to do this?

Thank you for your time and patience.

If you made the recovery disks just put the 1st disc in the drive and reboot the pc.
It should boot off the disk and then you want to do a factory reset which will return the pc back to how it was the day you got it. Make sure you have all your data backed up from it first!

Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.
