I just upgraded my other computer from internet explorer 7 to 8 and alot of websites I go to display 'not responding' for about 5 seconds. I have a 2ghz cpu with 512mb of ram so I would like to know how fast is your cpu and how much ram do you have and if ie8 regularly displays 'not responding' or not?

The websites it happens on are nz.yahoo.com and asbbank.co.nz

BEfore you worry too much about RAM(more is always better anyway), make sure you don't have anything you don't need.

You should not install toolbars and addons for your browser - most of the browser problems come from these software.

To see if add-on are causing problems, rn Internet Explorer with no add-ons. You can do this by pressing the Windows Key + R and entering the command "iexplore -extoff" to start it with no add-ons.

See how it goes.

But, again, more RAM is better. And make sure you run a full anti-virus and anti-spyware scan.
