Not done updates to this since forever since it only does torrenting.

Anyway, did some updates this time without thinking and it wouldnt reboot, just looped with the virtual bios and then the xp with the cylon animation, then back to the bios etc.

Turned the VM off, and now when I launch it I just get the small window with the progress bar, so no oppertunity to press F8 to give safemode a shot. I know on the real VM products you get the bios etc everytime so you can press F8, but it seems that the XP mode one hides that from me.

Any way to get it into safemode so I can try removing updates?

Ok, looks like turning off integration mode in the settings gets the bios and an oppertunity to press F8 showing. chkdsked the vhd and that found problems, but still bluescreening on startup so making a new VM from the base image and will move utorrent and the downloads back off the old VHD.

Will be sure not to update it this time.
