When I remote desktop in and have it set to send audio to the remote computer, it makes the remote desktop audio device which is all fine for the bings and beeps of normal windows alerts, but the ability to choose my USB DAC is removed, all I can see is the remote desktop device. If I leave audio at the remote computer, I can get music playing on the USB DAC, but all my system sounds go out the onboard sound, which is pretty useless.

Is there a way to remote desktop in and have that device created and made default, but not have the others on the actual computer be made inaccessable? Even wasapi only has remote audio, not the local devices. It used to work on XP with a kernel streaming plugin.

Just thought I would give kernel streaming a shot, and it can see the USB dac, but not the onboard or HDMI which is weird, but enough to work. No way to change the mixer via RDP however.
