According to a relatively recent press release from Microsoft, they are offering NZ students copies of Microsoft Windows 7 and office products at a reduced cost.

Does anyone have any further information regarding this offer and where I can purchase a copy from?

Thanks in advance

Yeah ultimate steal, $59, I'm going to order mine soon and put it on my spare media server

Pro Academic version, so it's all good :)

You have to be part of a listed Facility on it and also have a working student email(or staff if you want the staff copy)

Does anyone know if you upgrade a computer, and then you dispose of that computer, whether you can then upgrade another computer with the license. I know you couldn't if it was OEM, as the license is tied to the PC, but with the 'upgrade' versions' I am not sure. I assume you can only upgrade a single PC at a time and have only one PC running it, so if you have both a desktop and laptop running XP, you can only upgrade one.

Yes you can, however, in most cases you need to ring Microsoft up...about a 5 minute call, tell them you are upgrading the hardware and they'll give you a new code to enter in.  Or if you haven't used the licence in about 2 weeks since disposal, it seems to let you licence it online

However, the new UltimateSteal price has gone from $59 - $149 now...
