Right i have 4 IMAP accounts to sync on my machine, 3 GMail and 1 other, i get the 0x800CCCOE error for the 3 GMail based ones and its annoying the hell out of me.

I have disabled AVG's email scanner and allowed Outlook unrestricted Firewall access.

Anyone got any more advice on how to fix this damn thing? Googling it came back with many useless unsolved threads.

EDIT2> I altered the sync settings, made it so every 20 mins 2 sync, and every 30 mins the others sync. This seems to alleviate the problem, it seems i have issues opening so many sessions to GMail at once, any way around?

A 100061 error generally indicates a connection issue, so since I assume you have checked all of your settings, what happens if you change the account timeout (its an outlook account setting) to something like 1 minute for each of the gmail accounts?

No idea if it's a 100061 error or w/e

I changed server timeout in each accounts advanced settings to 5 minutes, is this what you mean?

Yip, and 0x800CCCOE simply means that it failed to connect to the server. Usually it is because one of your [smtp] settings is not correct. I think gmail requires SSL and some odd ports.

Did setting the time out make a difference? what happens if you just enabled one account instead of three - it it works with one, then try a second etc.

All work if i don't refresh them lots, im thinking the server is refusing me multiple frequent connections. The server timeout did not seem to make much of a difference :(

Update to above reply:

If i let it naturally sync it works, but when i hit send/receive it gives me the errors. Seems to be a maximum number of connections (IMAP) at once to the google servers. Anyone have any ideas on how to deal with this?

Im trying turning one of the servers from imap.gmail.com to imap.googlemail.com but that only eliminates one of the two conflicts

EDIT> using alternate servers fixed the issue for one account, it never breaks, the other two are in conflict. Weirdly it works on the iPad happily. I set the two conflicting accounts to auto sync, one on 13 and one on 17 minute intervals. The idea is these prime numbers don't sync together until a very high number, reducing the issue. Looks like im not able to fully resolve the issue as there are only 2 google imap servers.
