Have just installed IE7 RC1 and can't figure out how to put links bar in same row as address bar, is this no longer possible?

Have unlocked toolbars but can't move address bar, tab bar or command bar up or down. Can turn on Menu bar and put in same row as Links bar but that's all.

Anyone know how?

No it is not possible. Nothing can modifiy the address bar in anyway. This is a safeguard against phishing.

The address bar is now part of the window itself. I have the links bar beside the menu bar, above tabs.

Why do you have the menu bar on?

Because i find it handy. And on a 1280x1024 screen is doesnt take up a lot of space.

Yeah, I've got Windows @ 1280x800 alongside Mac OS @ 1680x1050 so space is at a premium on Windows.

From a quick look it seemed most of the menu bar was in the page and tool command bar menus?

I use quite a few of the menu functions that haven't got shortcuts.

Looks much better on vista.......

You're right, definitely looks infinitely better on Vista. Do you use IE7 as your main browser?

An option to only show tab bar with multiple tabs would be nice too.

Overall IE7 seems fast but less refined and flexible than Firefox or Safari to me.

I used to use FF as my main browser but ditched that when IE7 beta 2 preview was released.

Its much faster than FF, i like the look and layout, admitted it takes a while to get used to.... The only thing it lacks is FF's extensions. But thats not a big deal for me.
