Hi, boys & girls!

Software Freedom Day (softwarefreedomday.org), or SFD is close at hand: this Saturday, 20 September
This is an annual INTERNATIONAL event, also held at various venues locally: Auckland, Hibiscus Coast, Wellington, Christchurch, Waikato/Hamilton, and a few other venues, to promote the adoption & use of FREE software (as in liberty/freedom; by extension like beer too), regardless of OS

Of course you could expect a strong GNU/Linux representation, but at the end of the day the freedom to choose is up to the user, and you are more than welcome to stick with the OS you feel comfortable with; be it Windows, Mac or Linux (etc).
Heck! You can join us even if you don't agree, and you can argue your point convincingly

So, please! Come one, come all! Bring your friends & family & make a day of it :)

[I expect a couple of flames & some flack, so I'll throw a couple of links in your direction in the hopes of distracting you:]

(P.S. I'd like to thank everybody who's contributed their time, energies, patience & $$$ to get this year's event going. Good luck!)
