aim:paragonOfGeek: I can't believe you just said...OOo doesn't do equations.....WTF. I typed up all my 2nd year physics notes in OOo, they were beautiful the equations worked out perfectly. The fact that it is a basic scripting language to get the equations means that you can type out what you want to get select the lines and press the convert button (I mapped this to F4 so I could do it quickly on the fly). The graphical interface of office math type is absolute crap for doing anything other then a basic equation.
Solidworks/gaming is the only reason that I still have a windows box.
Whaaaat it does? where who how what when? Teach meee :P
Insert -> object -> formula.... a box in the lower part of the screen will come up and let you type in it. But when you learn the script it is far faster to just type the commands, select the text and then use Insert -> object -> formula (map this to a key for even better productivity)
try this "{d^2 x}over{dt^2}= ddot x = x ? x^3 %delta dot x + %epsilon sin (%omega t)" paste that into writer without the quotes and then select the text and Insert -> object -> formula. It is one of the formula from my chaos notes in 09.
