Hi,

I've just released the first version of Linux Lite, a new user friendly distro based on Ubuntu.
Am hoping fellow kiwis will support a NZ made linux distro so please help spread the word. On Distrowatch I could only find 2 other NZ made distros, so this is a unique opportunity to promote a locally made linux distro. The announcement is here - http://www.linuxdistrocommunity.com/forums/thread-501.html
We are off to a good start and have circa 4000 downloads in just the first 2 days, hopefully we can sustain this momentum for a while. Distrowatch listing is here - http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=lite
Cheers Smile

Congratulations! Takes a lot of work to build and maintain a distro so my hat goes off to you.  Well done.

Congratulations on the release!

Apart from downloads do you get any other statistical information about use of your distribution? Maybe from apt package update requests or some other mechanism?

Thanks for the congrats :) @gzt as far as stats go, we have sourceforge for the http download data and for the torrents, we're still looking for a good open source php tracker. Cheers.
