hi, i have just installed kubuntu and i am having trouble getting the video drivers to work correctly the display is showing the typical signs off faulty video drivers such as text not showing random charachters and not letters and incorrect colours. any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Had similar problem, use the ubuntu forums, installing ubuntu 7 fixed my problems.

Ubuntu 7.04 has a great system for installing proprietary drivers if you need them, otherwise, if you wish to stay in dapper consider using automatix to install the nvidia driver.
