A quickie for you: how do you send signals to a C++ app running in the Eclipse console? I'm trying to send EOF (usually Ctrl+D) but nothing happens. The program is very simple & works as expected when running in a regular console. Didn't get anything useful from Google. Cry

I'm using Eclipse 3.2.2 with eclipse-cdt C/C++ plugin on Ubuntu Feisty (C++ perspective).

Thanks for reading.

P.S. This isn't really a Linux question but I couldn't find any C++/Eclipse/development-oriented forum.

I always thought the standard for EOF was ^Z?

Nah, Ctrl-Z sends a process to the background. I tried it though, just to be sure - still no joy.

EDIT: Aha! Ctrl-Z seems to be the DOS signal for EOF (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/End-of-file).
