I have tried every thing , but its not working

is XRPD or RDP from windows 10 is supported on raspberry pi 3 b ,

i have tried following,

1 , update , upgrade done,

2, uninstalled vnc4server , xrdp tight vnc

3, reinstalled , vncserver and Xrdp

4, its not working on lan or from DDNS way i have tried , putty not working

error message says : is your session ended because of a protocol error ....

i can confirm that same process worked on rasbian software seamlessly ... but raspbian is very slow for camera application , my objective is to remotely watch camera while i will be away during this season...

XRDP. You can check on the RPi3 with

sudo systemctl status xrdp

Did you use "c:\Windows\system32\mstsc.exe" to connect?

Be sure to have an empty file named "ssh" (without extension) in the root directory of the SD-Card of the RPi.

Personally I'd prefer VNC.

i run the remote desktop command from windows RUn command ( windows 10 )

VNC is good but not solve the problem becuase i wanna use it from Internet instead of my local lan network and VNC doesnt not support ( to my knowledge ) if i can then please refer to me any tutorial or if you can guide me how to access RP3 from internet ( remote desktop ) will be great help

You should use at least VPN to do that. BE WARNED - RDP alone isn't safe since the data is transferred unciphered!

For remote VNC access to my network, I use VNC over OpenVPN. The OpenVPN server is my MythTV box (a decent AMD quad core CPU) and can handle reasonable speeds. It is on 24/7. VNC works well from my 3G Skinny mobile connection at the other end - I have tried from Lower Hutt and Castlepoint so far. I do use around 220 Mbytes per day doing this, but that is what I have Skinny rollover for, so I easily have enough data for when I am way from home. OpenVPN provides about the best encryption available, if you set it up with the right options.

You might also consider the free version of TeamViewer. That can provide an encrypted connection and works very like VNC or remote desktop. But you have to have an account on their servers to make the connection from outside your network. And I am not sure exactly how good its encryption is. TeamViewer is available as a host only version for RPi.

If putty isn't working, your problem isn't with RDP. Probably the RPi isn't running at all. Can you ping it? Is it working if you plug a screen into its HDMI port?
