I have a Canon MB2160.

I downloaded the scangear driver and ran it and it says it's installed, but where?
There is no listing in the menu anywhere.

Simple Scan says no devices detected.

Package installer says v 3.40-1\

scangearmp2

But where and how do I use it then?

An Internet search reveals it's a TWAIN driver, which is an oldy but goody.

It's a plug-in, and usually appears as "File...import...From Twain drevice..."

It should be a universal driver, that works with products like Photoshop, CorelDraw, and just about any graphic software made in the last 20 years.

You could try this Canon Twain certified driver

never mind, I discovered it's a terminal command.

Which brings up the little window with your go button etc....
