It's geeky I know, but it would be cool to see some other desktop screenshots

My desktop, 1280x1024, Windows XP Pro:

(Note: folks, better resize to something as 800x600 and save as JPG to make the download smaller).

Its good to see Vista has caught up with the font rendering technology I've been enjoying in Linux for a while (XFT). Though it still looks like the OS equivalent of Disneyland to me.

Thanks I will.
BTW when I tried to install Vista it nuked my master boot record (obviously & expected) and they changed the bootstrapping so wildly I cant use LILO or GRUB to boot it (boot sector in MBR only? no first partition booting anymore). I suspect they dont want it co-existing with Linux. Can't say I'm surprised though.

That last shot looked like mine till i took my machine to bits. go invader zim! i'm now soley on my PDA as I have PMS with my stupid internet which i hardly used anyway apart from emails and a bit of surfing, i seeked to illegal filesharing to sample some lovely "recorded off the radio" music just to use up my ten gig plan which was slower than evdo. I have also made up a lovely script to dump all the incoming searches data to a file.... there are some sad dudes and sheilas out there, it would shock you what some of the most common searches are.

i'm going either linux (most likely) with wine
or mac panther-bootcamp for my next pc purchase. Vista is just DRM riddled rubbish. oh it looks pretty, yes and so did windowsblinds and mac os x in 2000.

I was having a determined go at using "Windowmaker" instead of KDE for a few days - -I think I could get to like it

Mainly because it is the "Most Unlike Windows" of any Desktop Environment I've tried.

Piston with broken Con Rod is mine, and I'm currently rebuilding the engine.
250cc 4 cyl 4 stroke 16 valves tin Camshafts - -I'm going to reassemble her with only 3 cylinders running - -just to try it.

Hmmm. True. I could grab a screenshot from the iMac here, but that wouldn't be my true work machine since it is my wife's. I use Windows XP on the desktop, Windows Server 2003 on the Mail Server, and Windows Vista on my tablet PC.

So I guess the iMac does not qualify, even though it sits on the same desk.
