i have windows 7 installed on my 1tb hdd i have another hdd in my computer that is 1tb i was thinking about instilling ubuntu to it do you think it is worth my time?

It can be worth your time if theres stuff in linux you need that Windows cant provide and vice versa.
Doing it just because you can ? Each to their own :)

Personally, Id RAID the drives and just run Windows - thats me tho....

Just install virtualbox on your win machine. Install ubuntu VM on virtualbox.

yeah go with vbox or vmware. Do you want to learn linux or just satisfy your curiosity?

you can have both. can be easyly setup i have windows 7 and linux running just have to reboot every time to change os.
