^bit of a sweeping statement. It's rendering every website I use commonly just fine.

What ones are you having issues with though?

Not had to many issues a few really minor ones and one major one(At least for me).

SFTP is broken in Transmit(Panic). It won't connect at all via IP Addresses, but so far only works by using bonjour names so computer_name.local. Even then I have still had it just not want to upload which then requires a complete restart of transmit to work again

Less of an issue is if you want to do a fresh install and then use migration assistant to setup your computer. I have found it will just crash out if you do this during the setup process.
It only works by setting up an account and using the application from within the applications folder. Most people will not have this issue and it is not a difficult work around.

Another one I have had that I am not sure is directly related to Mavericks. When I tried to log into my personal account in the mac app store it would just sit there and keep on trying to login.
I know it had nothing to do with my connection as logging in to my other account worked fine. The only work around I found was to try logging in via a VPN connection. No idea why this worked or if it was just me who had this issue but it was very odd.

Downloaded and installed fairly painlessly, but having an issue connecting to one particular WiFi network that worked fine under Snow Leopard on the same machine.

Simply doesn't connect to the network about 3 times out of 4 when waking from sleep, or powering up.

Possibly related to the WiFi channel as this network is 2.4GHz channel 13 20MHz.

gehenna: SO: who has upgraded to Mavericks?

I was pleasantly surprised to find out it is free, and I didn't run into nearly as many issues with download time as a lot of other people seem to (even after switching to Orcon Unlimited yesterday - thanks Orcon!)...

It downloaded simultaneously on both of our MacBook Air's in about 90 minutes, and we also upgraded 2 iPads and 2 iPhones while Mavericks was on it's way....so not a bad use of bandwidth!

I like it a lot, it's continuing on the "refinement" path that Snow Leopard started down.  Some of the new features are great - in fact I'm working on 2 displays now and the ability to change Spaces on each display separately is FANTASTIC!

I'm yet to dig too deeply into features but so far I'm liking it a lot.  My MacBook Air (mid-2011) feels much more responsive in some of the apps I use daily (Office, Evernote, Safari/Chrome, Omnigraffle, etc), and I like the visibility over power usage on an application by application basis in the Battery applet.

What are your thoughts?  Found anything cool?

Aside for taking 5.5 hours to download and install due to snail net, no dramas.

TBH it seems almost identical to ML aside from Books which I do not use.

magu: If you use Gmail with Mail.app, prepare for a lot of pain. It's making me seriously consider AirMail, now.

Care to elaborate? I used to use MailMate but its lack of Exchange support has made me switch back to Mail due to a change in employment.

No problems on our MB early 2009.
Had an issue with dropbox but realised I was running a really old version so updated it (2.0 -> 2.4).
Also updated to the latest version of iPhoto (9.5) and it seems much faster.

I did this on Friday and had no issues doing the data transfer during the setup process.
Was about 200gb of data too!

I've actually found that my 1 year old iMac seems to be a bit sluggish now I've upgraded to Mavericks.

It's certainly not as responsive as it was...other than that it seems almost identical to Mountain Lion.

Hmm, similar to Handsomedan, it definitely feels slow to respond. Moving between browser tabs or applications just takes longer. When opening a system pref, there's a pause before anything visible happens.

And a little frustrating thing - the trackpad scrolling speed doesn't seem to stick between reboots, slowing back down each time.

Two things that have felt really slow in both ML and Mavericks for me is iTunes and the App Store.

In Lion, both were fast and responsive.

Now, I wait ages for them to load, iTunes won't stream reliably from the Cloud at all (it did no problem under Lion), apps either won't download, give odd error messages claiming Apple software is 'not signed' etc or just take ages.

Looks like this issue is not that new.

http://rene.rebe.de/2013-03-29/when-mac-os-x-wifi-country-code-goes-wrong/

If random WiFi networks in the area are broadcasting a US country code (which they are), the Mac thinks it's in the US and won't look at other channels. Very unhelpful.
