Batteries are not necessarily covered by any extended warranties of CGA as they have a finite life.

It is the power supply that blew, $390 to fix. It was gonna cost me $300 to repair it myself with the worry of the screen issue so have decided to let them do it. $160 for part, $170 for labour + GST.
