+1 for bettertouch tools one of the best tweaks on mac. I am having some little issues with mission control and bettertouchtools tho. If you make a window maximise and then another window maximise so that both window fill the screen and have no other windows open on that desktop the mission control previews for those windows overlap each other. Anyway very minor if you have a third window open it sorts it self out. I also don't like the default show desktop multitouch gesture on lion .

StephenNZ: Apple are advertising that macbook air's start at NZ$1099 Inc GST?!?!?!

Refer bottom of this page..
http://www.apple.com/nz/macbookair/?cid=CDM-NZ-P0010613-OSX-CON&cp=em-P0010613-174617&sr=em

That looks to be a mistake. If you go to purchase one, the cheapest one they have is $1549.

Gotta say, Mission Control is a very poor implementation.  Can't wait until someone figures out the terminal hack to get Expose back to normal ;)

I want to install Lion, but I have <1GB left on my HDD.

I've never replaced a HDD on a computer before, but:

If I replace my current HDD with a blank HDD, and plug in the bootable Lion USB, will it automatically come up with the installation process?

And then, I assume, I could sync my Time Machine backup to replace my files?

found the solution http://www.alexanderwilde.com/2011/04/os-x-lion-connection-error-with-afp-and-workaround/

"Apple disables support for the “DHCAST128″ in OS X 10.7 LION , which is commonly used by NAS boxes. Apple thinks is it insufficiently secure. So all the Vendors must work with Apple for Lion compatibility." yeah right!

Peoples..theres a cool quick app on the "youbee" site, which takes few seconds to run and tells you if your mac is worthy of Lion.

Installed Lion, Set it up, no problems at all.. Love it
Hate Telecom - their ZTE MF 636 USB Modem refuses to work.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. It's my only Internet, the software will not install. OK it didn't install properly with SL but I could get it to work.
At the moment we are parked at my son's place and pinching his WiFi. Bugger.
Now I suppose I'll have reinstall Snow Leopard.

hmmm I have one of those for when Im out of 'town'.... getting it to work on SL was a mission as telecom connection manager wasn't all that compatible with SL in the first instance.

maybey its time it went on trademe and replaced with another pre pay stick.

As someone who spent quite a while trying to make the old "Vodem" devices work on OS X, I feel pity for anyone trying to get "unusual" devices like this to work properly. I had to boot into a Windows XP machine (because they had issues with Vista), flash a patch to enable it to be recognised by Vista and then flash separate firmware & "dashboard" updates, then scrounge some software to make it work in OS X. It was not a fun process and even afterwards it was incredibly unreliable.

I wonder how much grief I'd have "downgrading" a new system from 10.7 to 10.6 just so I know that things will "work" without having to wait for the devs to acquiesce to Apple's changes. (Losing thunderbolt support would not be something I cared about in the least if that'd be an issue).

Why are USB dongles so problematic anyway? My last three phones (Huawei, Sony Ericsson, Samsung) would all appear as a network device in Network Preferences and "just work" without any drivers. Yet my ZTE USB dongle requires third-party software before it'll do anything. Why the difference? Are there any USB dongles that work without drivers?

You need drivers for a reason
