Disrespective: One of my favourite additions is actually how volume changes aren't followed by an annoying sound. The visual notification is still there but that is fine on its own. I don't need visual and auditory notifications.

There has always been an option in System Preferences > Sound to enable or disable "Play feedback when volume is changed". I started using Mac's when Panther was the OS and it's been there ever since then, and probably long before.

Is there any quick way to update from beta 6 to the full version?

And can just hold the shift key when changing volume, makes the blips if turned off, or mutes them if turned on.
You can also hold Shift+Option to adjust in smaller increments

Tzoi: Is there any quick way to update from beta 6 to the full version?

I read that Apple considers Public Beta 6 to be the same as the full release, so theres no way to update and no point, unless you fully reinstall the OS. When they release something like 10.1 or whatever, you'll update and be on the full public version.

The only difference right now is the build numbers IIRC

^Yep that's right. There's no point trying to update if you're already on the latest public beta or GM dev release. When 10.10.1 or 10.10.01 comes out you can update then.
