Thanks; I’ll give it a go.
I can see that there are two versions of 1809 (R1 and R2).
I assume R2 is the go, right?

If you get stuck from here, let me know. I'll create a Boot camp Install USB on my Mac & courier it to you. That's the official solution so it's bound to work. You just need a working Mac to create the USB.

I really appreciate your assistance.
I can’t use it as a Mac anymore, as the logic board is faulty.
It does however work for Windows.
I’ve had it examined and had someone trying to repair it, but no luck.

Therefore, using it as a Mac is not possible.

I tried to create the USB (downloaded an earlier Win10 version as advised by you - ISO file and converted it into bootable USB) but it said it wasn’t bootable.
I’ll try again later.

When you made the USB, did you make it MBR (probably did) or GPT? The Mac needs GPT.

Hmm, strange.
It still doesn’t show any WiFi options, although I did download version 1809.

Thread readers: we solved this problem with a combination of AnyDesk, BootCamp drivers, Powershell & a bit of plain old good luck. I think it’s a temporary fix as the hardware is erratic, but @danepak, follower of both NZ Warriors & Wellington Phoenix, knows were to go for the hardware repair too. All in all, the thread finishes with a GZ win.

Yes, big thanks to @1024kb - really appreciate it.
Will see what the near future brings for the MacBook Pro.
Might be time to kiss it goodbye soon.
