Hi Guys

My MacBook running 10.7.5 has developed a problem with Cookies. When trying to adjust my google search settings or even trying to sign into GeekZone (currently using work machine) I can't get anywhere.

Google search comes up with and error that cookies aren't enabled, I had cookies enabled and private browsing turned off. This problem exists in both Safari and Firefox and affected every user on the computer.

I have tried reseting Safari, checking the disk and repairing the permissions. I am running Safari 6.0.2 and the latest version of Firefox.

Any suggestions?

Are you running any "cleaner" perhaps to protect against spyware?

Does it happen in other networks or only at work?

Is on my machine at home, I am having to post from my work computer as my home one won't let me sign into GZ. I don't use any cleaner software as most of it is rubbish.

I am very clued up on Mac's but just can't nut this one out.

Perhaps the router is configured to filter cookies and other stuff? Some Cisco/Linksys routers have this option... Here's mine for example:

Thanks Freitasm, I was just coming back to post that I had found what you had suggested on an Apple discussion, I have enabled that and it has fixed my cookies issue as well as not being able to download from the iTunes store.

Thanks for your help
