Well i know perl comes pre installed on tiger but i cant get ppm to run (perl package manager), 

can some help me/ tell me how to get the ppm to run on os x, im lost i have an msn chat bot

and i can only get it to run on linux and windows because i cant download the correct packages 

on os x, i dont want to download them manually because i have to download quite a lot of packages

but if someone can help me out i would really appreciate it.

OS X is distributed with cpan for perl package management.

the first time you run cpan, it will step through a manual configuration process.

then once at the cpan> prompt is simply a matter of typing "install Perl::Module"

you might have to run cpan as root for modules to be installed properly.
