In today's NZ Herald (27 March, 2014), Dick Smith is advertising 10% off Apple Mac computers (not including build-to-order) until 30 March, 2014. The advert has these two models as examples ...

MacBook Pro 13.3" 2.5GHz
4GB RAM, 500GB hard drive
$1,619 (save $180)

iMac 21.5" 2.7GHz
8GB RAM, 1TB hard drive
$1,799 (save $200)

The advert says "limited stock". I'm not sure if that's just a marketing scam or if it's a signal that new models are coming "soon" ... although Apple doesn't really have any new Intel chips in the near future to update to, so it could only be a minor speed bump.

Those are ~10% off (slightly less).

DSE and JB HiFi regularly do 10% off Mac sales - you are better off buying from them then.
For Example - ME293X/A - JBHiFi regular price $3049, 10% off $2744.10 - not a huge difference to PB, but for an Apple product, its significant.

I haven't been keeping close tabs on them recently, but JB Hi-Fi was often the best prices, sometimes close to or even better than Education pricing from Apple. You can also keep an eye on the prices and then use the "price matching" at another store chain if you prefer (at least one chain will take a further 10% off as well, but I can never reemember which one it is).

The Good Guys also have quite good prices and 10% discount sales, but thanks to their silly "pay cash, pay less" system, the advertised price is more than you actually pay if paying by cash, credit card, cheque - it's the price you pay if using a finance term. PB Tech have a similar silly system of pricing on many products (I've never checked their Apple price tags), but there's is purely cash only for the cheaper rate.
