I cannot get this to work, sending works, incoming doesn't. Googling showed many issues, not accepting password even though it is correct intermittently, Yahoo IMAP implentation not fully compliant, Mavericks dropping the Yahoo IMAP option in the mail app, and doing well to auto setup Yahoo POP. The Connection Doctor does show a correct connection to the incoming IMAP server in Oz which adds to the weirdness of what should be a 60 second setup task

Yes settings are correct, using the Telecom supplied IMAP settings, http://help.telecom.co.nz/app/answers/detail/a_id/30289/~/imap-settings-for-yahoo-xtra-accounts

Has anyone got this going in Mavericks mail app using the Yahoo builtin preset, updated, or Add New Account?

Don't worry, there seem to be raft of issues, so I will stick to Yahoo webmail as that is a clean UI, or check some other Mac mail clients. iCloud and Keychain appear to be some or all of the cause.

I would use a gmail account or outlook.com account and use their mail fetching feature(s) to pull the email out of your xtra account into the more functional account/service.

Were they YahooXtra or yahoo.xxx?

One of the many threads I read last night also said that, He had two OSX devices, one was fine, one wasnt. I gather that some of it is Keychain involved in the PW process
