I upgraded to Yosemite and now I can;t see other computers shares on my network ... before computers would just pop up on the left in Finder, now they don't.

I can connect to an SMB and AFP share manually but I want to just click.

Is there something I need to enable to get it to display servers on the LAN ?

Open Finder, click on Finder > Preferences on the Menubar.  Click on the Sidebar tab.  Make sure Connected Servers and Bonjour Computers checkbox is ticked.

Yup checked that was still the case of them being ticked and they are.

Any other ideas ?

Thanks!

Hey that's interesting, just got to work and found all the PC's and servers that normally show up in Finder aren't appearing.

Could be a bug, could be a setting.  Will have to do some Googling.

Not sure where that tab is, even though I'm usually an uber guru at everything I still don't know where most buttons are in OSX :-)

Do the servers show up in Finder on the left like they did in Mavericks ?

Thanks.

The "Shared" section shows up in Finder on the left at the bottom for me. Need to turn it on in Finder-Preferences-Sidebar

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Hmm ... well now the shares are showing up!!  Does Yosemite need 24hours to discover or something ?!
