If I click the 'Share' button in the toolbar, then select Message, the resulting message form does not appear to recognise any of my contacts, requiring manual input.

This does not strike me as the way it should work - so any ideas?

Hmm... all seems to be working fine for me on MBpro 10.10.1 & Safari 8.0. I get the usual option of typing a few letters of a name & then am given options from my address book (contacts), or selecting the blue plus in a circle & am presented with my contacts.
So, sorry, no help - but just to let you know it is working on my system... it sounds like there might be a privacy or access setting not checked - but I can't see anything that looks obvious in the prefs.
My only suggestion would be the good old disk utility repair permissions and reboot....

Cheers,
Mike
