I have a MacBook Air with OS Yosemite. I've been trying all kinds of malware removal to get rid of " Ads by Media Player" but fail, can anybody suggest what's the best way of doing this?

Can you tell us what you have tried? So we don't advise you something you have already done

Thanks, John. I've tried AdsMedic, HitManPro and RevoUninstaller.

Am i even using the right application for this removal ? Thank you.

Try AVG for Mac.

You have backups right!?!

Just restore a backup from before the infection

I have their Cyber Security Pro on all 3 of my Macs and no problems at all in over 2 years.
