And get all the problems a version 1 product has to offer?

It looks good, but will it blend?

I like it... but I might skip AirBook 1 and wait for AirBook 2 which will be out in 6 months time...

I will completely bypass this...

I have a small laptop (macbook) which pretty much takes up the same space as one of these - sure, it's heavier, but it can do more than one of these...I'm just struggling to see the benefits here.

You still need to carry it round in a bag, you'll still use it the same way as any other smallish-laptop...thoughts???

more expensive than a UMPC, lower performance than a regular laptop...

Call me back when you can get it half as thick (same weight would be fine). 1cm non-tapered would be quite nice, and would have about the same volume.

I like it, no doubt.  It's got all the hallmarks of an Apple design behemoth.  But it serves no purpose for me with a normal hard drive.  If I were to buy it I'd get the SSD.  Until the SSD is a more realistic price, I'll be passing this one by.

No way. I pay for specs, not thinness. The laptop is also completely sealed, you can't even take the battery out. What a stupid laptop.

mm its pure eye candy.. but for me i think the excitement ends there.. 1 usb port? I like to use a mouse so i wouldn't have a spare.. for all the features that are being cut the price point is too high also.. slower cpu, smaller hd, non upgradable ram i think im happy with my black macbook for now :)

I'm considering it. It's pretty, and I'm a sucker for aesthetics. Besides, I'm a student and processor-intensive activities aren't really commonplace for me!

However, I have a techie question relating to the difference between RAM and CPU:

I currently have a Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz Macbook with 1gig RAM, will swapping to a 1.8GHz processor and 2gigs RAM have a positive or negative effect? i.e., will the benefits of the extra RAM outweigh the slight decrease in processor? Could I get away with going with the 1.6Ghz one, even?

Thanks in advance!
