Hey Guys,

I'm extremely curious to know where apple store orders from NZ ship from.  Apparently it's China or AU correct?  If so, wouldn't there be customs duties/taxes to be paid on the order, so shouldn't I just pop over locally to my Noel Leeming/Harvey Norman to pick one up instead, and not have to pay customs?

Thanks!

Apple factors that into their price and pays it on the way through. I've ordered _lots_ though the Apple store over the years (tens of thousands of $) and I've never had anything to pay over the advertised price.

That's a relief, I'm just really scared that I'll be required to pay customs tax :(

For most items the only duty is GST. Exact same is paid on goods purchased from a local store. No difference. Purchases from Apple NZ store include GST already.
