I finally took the plunge - left my Toshiba Satelitte laptop in the dust and picked up a 15" Macbook Pro today.

I am slowly working my way around it.

What I do need though is a good torrent and P2P program.

I downloaded Transmission but I'm not a great torrrent/P2P user so I have no idea how to use it.
I was using uTorrent and found it so easy because the search bar was built into the program

Any help would be appreciated.

I use Azureus very happily :)
Search bar isn't built-in but it's still a good client, IMHO..

Sup.

BitRocket is an ok app. Vuze is much better for controlling what you download etc etc etc.

However, Ive found that BitRocket gets upset if you exit it without pausing everything first.  Ive also had it 'drop' my adsl connection a few times to the point where Ive had to reset my adsl router.

And just for arguements sake...  BUY IT NEW !   support artists and developers !

Xtorrent has a built in search feature, but the app cost money...
I personally like Transmission, and use google or other torrent sites to get the torrent file. (I also have azureus and pretty much never use it as it's badly made and designed and doesn't really fit well into the "mac application look, feel and usably" but some private trackers force you to use it)

And if you want to use limewire's network then get a program called "Acquisition" it's a beautifully made app again it costs, but I have never payed for it, you can get around the restrictions quite easily.

I'll add my vote for Transmission too.
I did use TomatoTorrent but it started to go really slow so switched to Transmission and everything is good now.

Use websites to locate your torrents and then open them up with Transmission.
