Hi
Wanting a Power Supply for Mac Pro 5,1 desktop 2010 - 2012 - the cheese grater if anyone knows where to find one - or a whole machine with working backplane and PSU.

Cheers.

Where are you based?  I might have something for you.  I have a couple of those Mac Pro's at home that aren't doing much other than acting as geeky side tables for the bed in the spare room.  They have guts inside them, though I can't guarantee what is working or not.

Good stuff. I'm in Dunedin - I assume you're up north?
Cheers

Do you have a part number or such? We have a bunch of Mac Pros for parts sitting at work I could take a look in.

That'd be great gehenna - a few options are coming in now.
Many thanks!

Hi - have found a PSU - do you have a 5,1 backplane per chance?
Cheers!

Hi,

We were messaging on the forum around November - you were saying you might have a 5,1 backplane?
I finally got around to replacing the PSU - so it's definitely the backplane.

Cheers,
Jason.

Sorry I don't have that Mac anymore, got rid of it during a summer house clearout.  You could try somewhere like Remarkit.
