Allegedly, 1% of MM users cannot access their mail (including my wife but not me!).

From looking at the Apple Support pages, there are an awful lot of very frustrated users out there but I have not seen much mention of it here or in the press in general.

Is anyone else having mail access problems? My wife has been unable to read hers (on a Mac Book Pro) for more than 3 days now. There is no useful info from Apple about the status and the likely repair time etc.

Comments? Experiences?

I'm a migrated .mac user. No end of issues for me. I can't even log in via system prefs on my mac.

Migrated .Mac family.  3 of our accounts were down on Tuesday night but have been fine since.

On the small sample here that is 66% not 1%!

My wife is still not able to get mail. Nearly 5 days now - not good for a free service, much less a paid one like Apples.

Not sure what is free.  We paid an annual sub for .Mac
Anyhow outage was about 90mins for us and has been up since for last day and half

I'm still figuring my settings out, but at least my powerbook is connecting to .mac now - I couldn't even get that far before. Interestingly, although I was using a jailbroken 1st Gen iPhone before, the behaviour suddenly got better when I started using a 3G iPhone.

I'm using the latest Tiger OSX by the way.

No, I meant that this level of service would be poor for a free service - much less one for which we are actually being charged!

Geektastic, I see where you are coming from now... was just ambiguous.
Agreed not great for a paid service.

This has now been an issue for "1%" of users for a week!

Still absolutely no indication from Apple as to when the problem might be resolved. I would have thought that a week was long enough for them to have completely replaced the server that was causing the issue several times over, TBH!

Come on Apple - get with the program!!

Hopefully they can even get the simple things right like timezone.  On Mobile Me, NZ was GMT+12:45

The Ivory Tower approach to MobileMe by Apple isn't winning any friends or influencing people.  I'm lucky enough to not be affected by the outages but still, this is poor management by Apple!

Same here - simple things. This is hacking me off no end. I know it is irrational on my part - but the time zone being impossible to correct is just infuriating....
