A neighbour of mine has had a cat typing issue. The Macintosh HD has been renamed to include a lot of spaces, slash characters and other punctuation. The system still boots. The drive can't be renamed via: clicking and typing on the label, from the Get Info menu, from disk utility, from diskutil. Either from a normal boot, safe mode, recovery mode or booted from an external USB drive. Time Machine backups no longer work and a fair few programs have trouble saving files after the change. The drive cannot be mounted when booted from an external drive. Carbon Copy Cloner and Super Duper don't see the drive. diskutil cs list shows that the changed name applies to the lv name value for the fusion drive's lv group.

Looking around, I don't see anyone having success in similr scenarios, e.g. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7397222 , https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7651236 or https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8273042

Just wanted to check if there are any other suggestions from the hive mind before going down the backup, reinstall, migrate route.
