Installed on a Late 2012 Mini i7/16Gb RAM/1Tb SSD last night; no major issues identified as yet. Some cosmetic changes to Photos app; iTunes has finally died, may it rest in peace. Early beta so a few rough edges and a little laggy but entirely serviceable on a non-critical machine.

Not brave enough to install on my work machine though :-)

Anyone else running Catalina currently?

Good point - sadly I have 34(!) 32-bit apps showing up on my work machine, although only 6 of them actually get used for work - I can't switch until these are updated or an alternative pops up. Mostly old versions of EndNote, SPSS and other dull but worthy stuff. Some foreplay required!

cheers

Will if run on HFS, or does it force an upgrade to APFS?

Have not done it myself but you can force it to stay on HFS I believe.

I'm running an earlier fusion drives in a 2012 iMac 128GB +1TB ,

I read APFS is still twitchy on Fusions....

Not tried with VMware Fusion, but no issues I have come across with Parallels (other than the annual upgrade rort, obviously).
