Hey there
Hopefully someone on here maybe able to assist me, when I ran windows I used a program called HTTP file server which was pretty much a drag and drop sorta thing and had a little web server going, does anyone know of any programs available for OS X that would be along the same lines free or payment required ones it doesn't matter

Mac OS X comes with a webserver ready to use. Just go System Preferences, Sharing and configure Web Sharing.
