Has anyone upgraded the ram themselves on the MBPU to 4gb? What sticks did you use/are compatible as google has told me that this particular gen of MBPs is sensitive to ram. Is it really hit or miss?
Hi Kanz, I don't have anything constructitve to add, but I can confirm that I have seen a new unibody MacBook with 4 GB RAM (AIMCORE brand) that just would not work under any circumstances. When both RAM modules were replaced, it works fine.So I think this just confirms that these machines are indeed a bit fussy. IAAACMT. (I Am Am Apple Certified Macintosh Technician). Cheers,Joseph.
