I'm having a bit of bother, hopefully somebody can help.
I'm a bit of a novice at this, but through simply jamming buttons and following some "how to"s on the web I've got PHP going, but I'm having bother getting Wordpress going on my computer because I've either got the wrong username, password or hostname (or any combination of the three) for the database in my config file.
The MySQL tab in system preferences says it is running.
It was a while ago that I messed with setting up PHP & MySQL and with the passing of time I've forgotten the password I assigned to the mysql user account (or if I even did, probably did). Apparently MySQL is given it's own account by default, but it doesn't show up in the "accounts" tab of system preferences and I have no idea how to find or change the password & account name.
Does anybody know how I can find these out? I have admin privileges. Running 10.5.7.
Reason I'm messing with Wordpress: I've decided to have a go at messing with Wordpress themes to help me get my head around this new fangled PHP thing. And eventually use it as a website for myself (hosted somewhere else).
And you may need to put any instructions in layman's terms, I'm surprised I got this far.
