Heya. I have an Iphone and was looking at downloading some tv shows. I went to the Itunes store to search for "lost" and no shows popped up. I had a quick look around and saw that there wasnt any shows at all.

So, Does Itunes NZ not support the selling of TV Shows?

Sorry if wrong forum.

features are not bad of apple tv but yeah 'apple tax'.

Xbox 360 or PS3 would be a much better choice. I've rented and watched couple of HD movies now from the Zune video marketplace on 360 and it was fantastic. much cheaper than itunes cause you can buy ms points on discount when they are on sale :-)

You can download TV shows in HD as well.

It's just that most TV programming is only available if you have a US iTunes account.

You need either an U.S. credit card or U.S iTunes gift voucher. You also need to be using an U.S. assigned IP address.

Just to add to what MF said, once you have a US account it can be used anywhere in the world.

But you still need a U.S. credit card or U.S. iTunes voucher to keep it funded.

Note the license terms say you shouldn't watch the content outside the U.S. - which is similar to buying a DVD in a store while over there on holiday and bringing it back here. Most DVDs say in the back "for sale in the U.S. only" or similar, and since DVD players don't have IP addresses they created the "DVD Regions".

Does changing your credit card billing address work for iTunes accounts?

No. It needs to be a US number range.

My understanding is you also need to be using a North American IP range to create a US account with a gift card or credit card. I set my account up while there, but can top it up anywhere with a US itunes gift card.

Nope, no IP requirements.  It'll happily accept an IP in Slovakia (since, after all, IP addresses are very poor methods of regionally discriminating).
