I dont know my self, but from looking at the image it could be a notification.

You should be able to check this out by clicking on View -> Show Notifications or clicking on the envelope on the bottom left of iCal

As for getting rid of them i have no idea. Hope this helps

Cheers for the reply.

Yeah it was something to do with notifications, a fellow follower on Twitter (Link to Tweet) headed me off into the right direction, and I have now gotten rid of the icon (:


Funny, they've been there for like 4-5 weeks now, and I have only JUST bothered to do something about it.
