Anyone used or purchased one? does it have the potential to replace the Mouse one day?

I think I'm going to buy one and see how I find it. Wonder if MM have them in stock already?

I've got a Magic Mouse but I do like the thought of the trackpad as I like using it on my laptop. I might pick one up in Hawaii next month, but I personally think it probably will end up replacing the mouse, especially if they add new gestures via software updates.

I like my mouse, but being able to rest my hand in one place and control everything just by moving my fingertips does sound pretty appealing!

But it's hard to replace mouse for gaming though. I ordered one, then thought about it and cancelled it. Still very much attached to my magic mouse. Hehe.

Often I find when using my MacbookPro setup at desk with Cinema Display, keyboard and mouse, I still wish I had a trackpad so always thought it would be great option, however there are some functions that the mouse is better suited.  Just received my Magic Trackpad and so far it is great.  Not sure if it will suit everyone, so test one in a store first, as hearing feedback from others who are not a fan.. then again they do not like the trackpad full stop.  4 finger expose and task switching is novel.

I got mine yesterday. I don't think MM will have them in stock just yet but the online store does have very quick shipping from Sydney.

Build quality is very good, to be expected with any apple product. You can do two, three and four finger gestures and they work very well. There's nothing special about it apart from the fact that it's almost exactly the same as a MBP trackpad, just larger.

While it's a nice product I don't think it's worth the $119, but that's only my opinion ;)

Lightning quick... arrived just after lunch the day after it was released...

having an older MBP it offers more gestures and inertia scrolling.  Also I have my MBP on a RainDesign mStand so the inbuilt trackpad is out of arms reach to use it comfortably.

Definitely overpriced.
