I went into ubertec Parnell on Tuesday to get my iPod fixed - my headphone jack had snapped off inside the iPod. The tech I spoke to in-store said he wasn't sure whether they could fix it or not, so headed upstairs to ask.

I waited around for 5 minutes, and even with a handful of other customers milling around, I was asked three times by three different staff members if I needed help. Very impressive.

When the tech returned, they'd pulled out the snapped headphone jack and did this free of charge.

Great level of service, very nice store they have in Parnell, highly recommend them to others.

Good to know. I only have positive things to say about Ubertec. Can't quite say the same thing about MagnumMac, my experiences with them have been quite terrible

I guess in the case of Magnummac since they're pretty much the largest seller and renaissance being the owner and sole distributor of Mac's in New Zealand they can afford to be as lazy as humanly possible. With that being said I've never had any problems with Magnummac that didn't require a little chest beating to get things moving along.
