Does anyone know if iLife 11 would work fine if bought from online from USA etc.

Don't really want to pay an extra $30 just for living in NZ

It's not region specific so it'll be fine.

Where are you looking at buying it through?

Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

It's not region-aware at all. I have a US-sourced iLife 11 installed right now - it works perfectly on NZ timezoned machines. Go for it.

as controlling as Apple might seem to some people, when it comes to user experience they are one of the few that deliver consistent experience.

There are no region locks, ugly serial numbers and stickers to worry about.

I have ilife 09.

Of the apps included I have used iphoto a lot, imovie a bit and iweb once.

I am going to wait for the mac app store, as it looks like they will be selling the apps individually, so I can just get the new iphoto and maybe imovie.
