I had to change my Yahoo, free account, password and suddenly Mail cannot send e-mails anymore.
I tried all the ports and none seem to work.
What's the best configuration for SMTP from NZ? What's the best (or at least workable) port for Mail sending e-mails through Yahoo.

Thanks.

what kind of yahoo account do you have?
.com
.co.nz

if you have a .com address I believe these do not have free pop and smtp access - you need to pay to have it enabled.

For a .co.nz the settings are

pop.mail.yahoo.com.au  port 995
smtp.mail.yahoo.com.au port 465

you also need to enable password authentication for both.

It worked, thanks.
I actually have a com.br, an e-mail that I use for the last 20 something years! But as I said, recently it started sending unwanted e-mail/virus through it, so I decided to change de password and the whole mess started.

thanks again!
