Heya all

I purchased the above in Dec 09, so unfort its only just out of warranty.  I had it for 6mths to play with then sold it to my neice.

It has just crapped out, power button does nothing.  Apparently if it was e.g HDD the logo would still come up so it must be either the powersupply or god forbid the mobo.

Shes heading off to Aussie to live today so too late now to get it fixed quick.  It was purchased from Harvey Norman.  Anything I can do in regards to Consumer Guarantees Act at all?

Where to get it fixed?  Would rather not have to drive a mile from Papakura in Auckland :)

Harvey Norman will just tell you to take it to a service rep.

My 27" iMac did the same thing 3 weeks after I bought it. After 6 weeks of getting it back and it failing again I made them give me a new one.

I believe there will be a listing on apples website for service reps

Heya all, just an update...

It is the power supply that blew, $390 to fix. It was gonna cost me $300 to repair it myself with the worry of the screen issue so have decided to let them do it. $160 for part, $170 for labour + GST.
