Just thought id share.
Ive been annoyed for ages, the fact that Mac doesnt have support for blu ray, i recently found that www.macblurayplayer.com works a treat, i then took a gamble on PB Tech saying that the LG BP06LU10 works on Mac ( on thier website), and it does a treat.
So using lion, on a new 2011 Mac Mini (that has no disk drive) and the LG External slim drive, i can finally watch blu rays, in full HD on my mac, using the toslink optical out into my amp for surround sound, and plex media player, for the ones i have backed up, and EYE TV for recording and watching free to air digital tv.
Using the toast 11 plug in i can burn DATA blu ray's and DVD's, and the only issue ive had is ejecting the disc sometimes, the drive is powered by 2 usb plugs, and i got it for $275.00 which isnt bad considering the price of some internals, its quiet too when playing. So finally im happy that mac is a full HTPC, with windows normally being the winner, for its drive support.
