If you want to see the transit of Venus across the sun check out this link. It'll update every 15min or so with a high res image so you can check in and see the spectacle. It will be visible in New Zealand from 10.15am to 4.43pm Wednesday.

Thanks for link. Was hoping to observe it myself, forecast is bad for Auckland, and haven't got my sun funnel made for my scope. If it does turn out sunny I will be very sad!
