Briscoes in my experience has been minus 5 stars (1 star on google)

From 2 broken coffee machines; at least five faulty frypans the list goes on. Anyone else having countless faulty products; sometimes a week after buying?

Luckily in my latest problem, I didn’t have to deal briscoes; Nespresso directly resolved it for me after my machine broke after a week.

Nope - I've not had any issues what so ever with items bought from Briscoes. We tend to wait until they've got a bigger-than-normal sale on then buy better quality stuff more cheaply.

Then again - you can't necessarily blame the retailer for issues with the products either - so maybe you need to name and shame all those brands rather than the retailer you purchased them from, unless of course Briscoes haven't been honoring your consumer rights when there is an issue OR all of those products you've had issues with are Briscoes "own brand" products. Otherwise I think you are barking up the wrong tree as I doubt their XYZ would be any different from an XYZ from The Warehouse, or Harvey Norman.

No problems here.

I have purchased a number of appliances and other products from Briscoes and had no issues to date.

I have always found Briscoes more than helpful when something goes wrong and have exchanged faulty items without question. They are a retailer and not responsible for bad manufacturing. I’m sure they are just as annoyed when items are faulty and they have to replace for the consumer and then go through the hassle of dealing with the manufacturers.

Only occasionally. Modern items are manufactured as cheaply as possible, probably with wide tolerances, it's cheaper to ship it out and let someone return it than build and test it properly.

The only thing we’ve had problems with from there is cordless kettles.
But they’ve been great at getting them replaced.

I buy a lot of stuff from Briscoes and Rebel Sport and I can't remember ever having to return a faulty product, but I only buy items from reputable manufacturers whose products are stocked by many different retailers. The fact that it was bought from Briscoes seems irrelevant to me.

I have not bought from them in ages since they dont really sell much that I am interested in. Last was when I wanted one of the big toasted sandwich makers (a failure of a product but not briscoes fault) and they had the best price because of a sale on all breville stuff.

Nothing broken that I wouldnt expect from normal use and wear.
